The Clarksville Music and Dance Center was created by a small group of Clarksville, TN and surrounding Tennessee and Kentucky area residents who enjoy music and dancing in a safe and healthy environment with no smoking or alcoholic beverages. We are located at 2501 Highway 48/13, Clarksville, TN 37040. Our building has a nice dance floor, and an excellent sound system.
The cover charge for our regular Saturday get-to-gathers is only $5 for members and non-members. We require anyone below the age of 16 to be accompanied by a parent, and students who are 16 and above must show a driver's license to verity their age. Children are welcome but must not be allowed to interfere with dancers or performers or others who want to see the dancers or performers, and hear the music.
The Clarksville and Dance Center opens at 6:30 pm on Saturday evenings and closes at 10:00 p.m. We offer couple's and line dance lessons from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and at intervals during the evening.
We welcome you to come and enjoy the CMDC. Smoking is allowed outside our facility but neither alcoholic beverages nor persons under the influence of alcohol will be allowed.
The Clarksville Music and Dance Center would also like to welcome aspiring singers and musicians from the Clarksville, TN and surrounding Tennessee and Kentucky areas who haven't yet found an outlet for their talents to audition and entertain us if accepted. We hope that we might discover someone like those who entertain us on TV shows like American Idol, The Voice, and America's Got Talent. This would be a good opportunity to develop confidence and stage presence, and we would enjoy being a part of your development; and be assured that we are in no way looking for compensation or accolades for ourselves, but only want to help those who might not otherwise have an opportunity to further develop or display their talents.
In addition to classic and modern day country, the CMDC offers and enjoys love songs, gospel and christian, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, oldies, and ballroom dance music. While we do understand and appreciate the freedom of expression, we do ask that dancing and musical performances are kept clean for the enjoyment of everyone.
